Before we introduce you to the Men of Mayhem we would like to take the time to give you the background of where we came from. Men of mayhem, MoMs, started with a small group of family and friends across the nation wanting to play in a roller tournament together. This group of people played hockey together as kids growing up and as many of us do, they moved on a started growing their own families across the country. The family started planning a reunion to play in an ECHO tournament in Denton Texas August 2022. This tournament led to the planning of the next tournament with the intent of coming in unified with jerseys and building a youth team as well. The next tournament was scheduled for October 2022 so the idea came to create a pink jersey in support of breast cancer awareness. The men’s team was accepting of the pink jerseys, but the day of the tournament they were surprised to find that instead of their names on the back of their jerseys was a woman’s name as a tribute to all the women affected by breast cancer. That tournament got our kids excited to play in the next family tournament, which led to the development of the Monsters of Mayhem. Keeping with the same tradition of pink jerseys with women’s names on the adults and monsters names on the kids. Over the last two years, our children have aged and moved up out of the younger groups, so the creation of Mishaps of Mayhem was developed to keep our teenagers involved. From August 2022 to today MoMs Hockey has grown to having an adult team with members stretching from Texas, Oregon, Arkansas, California and Pennsylvania with the addition of a youth and teenage teams as well. Making it our mission to support and make awareness for women suffering from breast cancer.
